Parks & Recreation Combine in the Magic City

Minot, ND- The Minot Park District and the Minot Recreation Commission officially combined Monday, April 1.

“We are extremely excited to welcome the recreation employees to the Minot Park District.” Says Ron Merritt, Minot Parks Executive Director. “The staff members have already been working together and have a great list of summer programming and events for the community to enjoy.”

The Minot Park District will host a Youth Activity Registration day on Monday, April 22 in conjunction with the Roosevelt Parks Zoo’s “Party for the Planet” event from 10:00am-3:00pm.  At the registration day parents and guardians will be able to sign up youth participants for Tball, softball, baseball, tennis, summer fitness gym and the summer art program. The Minot Park District is offering Youth Scholarships for summer programming for more information please contact the park office at 857-4136.

“The mission of the Minot Park District is to provide quality of life for our community, including all ages and abilities.” Says Ron Merritt, Minot Parks Executive Director.  “With that goal in mind we are ready to move forward as an organization to continue to improve the services offered through our facilities and programming for our citizens.’

Also new for the summer of 2019 for the first time ever the Minot Park District will be offering a Family Pass for the Roosevelt Park Pool at the cost of $125.00.  The Roosevelt Park Pool also offers an individual pass at the cost of $45.00.
