This orienteering course was built by Nathan Wistisen of Boy Scout Troop1446, as an Eagle Scout project, August 2019. The course is .55 miles long. Boy Scouts wanting to fulfill scouting requirement 4a for 1st class rank can do this course twice to complete that requirement in their scouting journey. This course is available and open to anyone who would like to learn and practice orienteering. One step on this course is equal to just under 3 feet. When you begin you will need to bring a compass with you. First find the north symbol in your compass, line it up with the arrow. Next, find the degrees indicated on each post while keeping the compass level. Then you will walk in that direction the amount of steps stated on each post to find the next one. There are 14 posts to complete this course. Good luck and have fun!
