July is National Parks & Recreation Month!
“Where You Belong”
This year’s Park and Recreation Month theme — “Where You Belong” — celebrates the many ways park and recreation professionals across the country foster a sense of belonging in their community by providing welcoming and inclusive programs, essential services for all ages and abilities, and safe, accessible spaces to build meaningful connection.
Scavenger Hunt
From July 1st to August 30th, visit each of the Parks listed on the activity sheet to gather all of the unique code words. The code words will then create a sentence. Those who submit a completed scavenger hunt will be entered to win a prize!
Build – A – Bubble
July 17th, 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Oak Park
Come out to Oak Park and help us fill the skies with bubbles! We will have bubble-making stations where you can build a giant bubble wand. Complimentary bubbles will be handed out to all attending children (while supplies last).

July 12th, 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Roosevelt Park Pool
Race to the finish line in your homemade cardboard canoe! Teams consist of 2 to 4 members; however, only 1-2 members can be in the boat for the race. We will have 3 categories this year. 4th to 7th grade, 8th to 12th grade, and an adult 18 and up category. The grade is based on the 2023-2024 school year. Prizes for first to the finish line, most dramatic sinking, and more! See rules and registration below.
