Adopt – A – Trail

Adopt-A-Trail Information

Minot Parks and Recreation has designated eligible park/horticulture areas for adoption by individuals, families and groups. Participants will be responsible to help maintain their adopted trail in an effort to keep it litter free!

Currently Adoptable Trails

  • Bison Plant Trail
  • Woodland Trail
  • Outdoor Recreation Area Trail
  • Opportunity for more based on interest!

What does it mean to adopt a trail?

This program encourages us to help the community enjoy our trails through beautification activities and scheduled debris pick up.

What do you gain from adopting a trail?

By adopting a trail, we can work together to promote a sense of pride and appreciation of our parks and resources. This also provides the perfect excuse to get outside! Sponsoring groups will receive signage recognizing their efforts at their adopted trail.

Who can adopt a park or trail?

Anyone! Student groups. Neighborhood Associations. Church groups. Businesses looking for community engagement opportunities. Families looking to beautify their favorite parks or trails. We will happily partner with anyone who is excited to partner with us!
