Minot Parks Snowshoe Trails Open at Oak Park!

Minot, ND — While the cross country trail crew requires 7–8 inches of snow on the ground to groom ski trails, recent conditions have allowed crews to prepare trails in Oak Park that are perfect for snowshoeing enthusiasts.

Snow may be scarce this year, but we’re still making our own winter fun! Thanks to the hard work of our trail crew, visitors can enjoy two groomed loop options: an outer loop measuring approximately one mile and a shorter inner loop of about half a mile.

“We’re excited that, even with so little snow this year, our crews were able to groom Oak Park trails for snowshoeing,” said Elly DesLauriers, Minot Parks Executive Director. “With warm temperatures coming within the next week, this may be our one and only chance of the season!”

The trails are also suitable for skishoes and HOK skis, offering another great way to get outside and enjoy the frozen white fun while the cooler weather lasts.

Need equipment? Snowshoe rentals are available at the Main Office, located at 420 3rd Ave SW.

Bundle up, get outside, and make the most of winter at Oak Park!
