Self-Plant Boulevard Tree Permit

Please complete this form to obtain a permit for a Self-Plant Boulevard Tree on the city boulevard adjacent to your property. After you submit the form, the forester will visit the address to verify that the placement and species are compatible with the boulevard. The location will be marked with a white flag or paint. After the inspection, you will receive an email confirming the approved location and species.

Before submitting a boulevard tree application, it is recommended that you review the Minot City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 29. This document is available at https://www.minotnd.gov/. Under this ordinance, you must meet the following requirements:

Are willing to routinely water a newly planted tree.
Trees to be planted must be at least one inch in diameter or larger.
