Dakota Bark Park Set to Reopen

Minot, ND- The Minot Park District is excited to announce the Dakota Bark Park is set to reopen at its original location on Tuesday, September 22.  The Dakota Bark Park has had a temporary location across the road since the spring of 2018 for the construction of the first phase of flood control by the Souris River Joint Board and the City of Minot. The Minot Park District is eager to get our patrons and their four-legged friends back to the original location.

“We have been working closely with the Souris River Joint Board and the City of Minot throughout this first phase of flood control.” Says Ron Merritt, Executive Director of the Minot Park District.  “The flood control project has significant impact to a number of our parks.  We want to thank our citizens and neighbors for their patience during this process and are excited to have everyone back home at the Dakota Bark Park.”

The Dakota Bark Park is located at 705 Highway 83 Bypass.  Amenities at the park include fenced in play areas for large and small dogs, waterspouts to fill dog bowls, picnic shelter, dog pods, and benches.
